Visiting the website
Each time you visit, our hosting provider automatically records technical data: IP address, date and time, pages viewed, browser, operating system and referring website. We use this data only to run and secure the website. The hosting provider then keeps it for a limited period.

Contact by email or phone
When you write to us or call us, we use your contact details and the content of your message solely to answer your request and, where appropriate, to prepare a quote. Furthermore, we never pass this data on to third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies, Google Analytics and third-party services

The website stores small files, called cookies, in your browser:

• necessary cookies: they remember your chosen language and your answer to the cookie notice;
• audience measurement cookies: Google Analytics sets them only if you click “Accept” in the notice.

We keep your choice for six months. However, you can change it at any time: change my cookie preferences. In addition, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The website remains fully usable if you decline.

Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) and Google LLC (USA), to understand statistically how visitors use the website: pages viewed, visit duration and device type. Google may transfer this information to servers in the United States; Google is, however, certified under the Swiss–US and EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Our website loads Google Analytics only after you give your consent; without consent, no data goes to Google. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can also install Google’s opt-out browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Google Fonts
To display the website consistently, we load some fonts from Google’s servers (Google Fonts). As a result, your browser transmits your IP address to Google.

Social networks
The website contains simple links to our Instagram and Facebook pages. Therefore, no data goes to these networks unless you click on these links. Once on these platforms, their own data protection rules apply.

Hosting and data retention

Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias (Geneva), hosts our website in Switzerland.

We keep personal data only for as long as the purposes described above require, or as long as the law requires, for example for our accounting obligations.

Your rights and changes to our privacy policy

You may request access to your data, its rectification or deletion, and you may object to its processing. Where the GDPR applies, you may also request data portability or restriction of processing. Simply write to info@mjwoodart.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), www.edoeb.admin.ch.
